Its Time to Harvest!!!!

We harvested our first strawberries during the 1st week of May. We had fun harvesting (eating a few of course). We expect the plants to be loaded when we return to school on Monday, May 6th.

They should be ready May 1st!

We have strawberries!

The strawberry plants have berries that are not ready for harvesting but, should be ready soon.

Plant Protection Covers

The strawberry plants must be covered when temperatures drop below 25 degrees from October - February. From March until harvest, the plants must be covered when temperatures drop below 32 degrees to protect the buds and flowers.

Beds are finished

The plants will grow throughout the fall and winter. They will be ready for harvest in April 2013.
